What is the Health Card
The Health Card (Tessera Sanitaria) is the personal document that certifies enrollment in the National Health Service (SSN). It contains the Tax Code, personal data and allows access to healthcare services in Italy and Europe (EHIC side).

Can I use it at the pharmacy?
NO. This is only a demonstration preview. For the official card, you must request it from ASL or the Revenue Agency.
How do I get the real card?
The Health Card is automatically sent after registering at the registry office. If lost, request a duplicate from ASL or through the Revenue Agency portal.
Does the card include the EHIC side?
The preview only shows the Italian front. The EHIC back (European Health Insurance Card) is only present on the official card.
